Zack Dias, MACP, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Zack Dias, a narrative therapist based in Toronto. I’m passionate about helping people explore the stories that shape their lives and relationships. I believe that people are not the problem—the problems are—and that everyone carries strengths, values, and moments of resilience, even when life feels overwhelming. In our conversations, we work together in a safe, collaborative space to reflect, uncover what matters most to you, and explore possibilities for the story you want your life to tell. If you’re curious about therapy or ready to start, I’d be glad to connect and begin the conversation.

What is Narrative Therapy?
Narrative therapy is a collaborative approach to counselling that helps people explore the stories that shape their lives.
Instead of seeing problems as part of who you are, narrative therapy separates the person from the problem, allowing you to examine how challenges influence your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. It is not to say that problems aren’t there, but that they don’t tell the full story.
In therapy, we explore the experiences, relationships, and social contexts that shape your life story. Together, we reflect on moments of resilience, uncover your strengths and values, and consider alternative stories that better reflect the life you want to lead.
Many people in Toronto choose narrative therapy to gain clarity, find new perspectives, and feel more in control of their personal and relational narratives.
Benefits of Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy can offer many benefits for individuals seeking support, including:
-
Separating you from the problem – See challenges as external influences, not as defining who you are.
-
Greater self-understanding – Explore your identity, values, and intentions to better understand yourself.
-
Strengthening resilience – Notice moments of courage, care, and resourcefulness that may have been overlooked.
-
Clarity in relationships – Examine patterns in relationships and gain insight into how you connect with others.
-
Navigating life transitions – Reflect on changes such as career shifts, relocation, or personal milestones.
-
Empowerment through collaboration – Therapy is a joint process, where your knowledge and experiences guide the work.
-
Culturally sensitive support – Narrative therapy considers how culture, community, and social context shape your life story.
Clients in Toronto often find that narrative therapy helps them feel heard, understood, and more in control of their own story, creating space for new possibilities and personal growth.
